The film Jimmy's Hall tells the story of Ireland in 1932. One Irishman named Jimmy Grolton comes to his native land, where he was deported to new York back in 1909, because of the propaganda of communism. He had gone away and become an American citizen, and now he decided to return and finish the job he had already begun. Jimmy just needs an audience like air, where he will be listened to, where he will be able to influence his beliefs and form his audience in his native country. He had the idea to open his hall for dancing. Jimmy's dance hall is a place where people can learn to dance and share their political views. A thought, if expressed, is already the beginning of action. And when expressed thoughts becomes too much, it leads to certain consequences. The image of Jimmy Grolton is written off from a real historical character. This is the story of the only Irishman who was expelled from the country. The historical drama "Jimmy's Hall" by Ken Loach was included in the list of 15 best films of the Cannes film festival 2014.
